Bricktown Oklahoma City is the historic section of town known for its artistic influences and new wave of development. In many ways a crossroads in town since OK City’s founding, Bricktown remains the rail hub in town.

Starting in 1889, the town was an important rail center, with four companies starting track lines in Bricktown in anticipation of the westward push. As the years passed, it became an important center of industry, with Henry Ford opening a factory here along with many other early businesses. Bricktown is a former warehouse district. Today, tourist attractions and museums are all over Bricktown, from a baseball park and OK Land Run monument to restaurants for grownups and kids, as well as bars and clubs. Amtrak’s Heartland Flyer leaves for Fort Worth every morning out of Bricktown.

Accommodations in the area include Hampton Inn and Suites (300 E Sheridan), the Courtyard by Marriott (2 West Reno Ave), the Residence Inn OK City (400 E Reno), the Cassady and Company Day Spa Westin Hotel (100 W Main St), the Sheraton OK City (1 N Broadway) and the Skirvin Hilton (1 Park Avenue).
