Brigham and Women’s Hospital is a 777-patient bed hospital located on the Longwood Medical and Academic area campus, between the neighborhoods of Fenway-Kenmore and Mission Hill in Boston, Massachusetts. The hospital is situated next door to the Harvard University Medical School campus, and is renowned for patient care, biomedical research, and education and training in the medical field. Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) was established in 1980 as the result of the merger of three smaller Boston hospitals, and is consistently recognized by multiple sources as one of the top hospitals in the United States. BWH also serves as the second largest affiliate hospital to the Harvard University Medical School, and receives amongst the most National Institute of Health research grant money of any non-university hospital in the U.S. Brigham and Woman’s Hospital is located at 75 Francis Street in Boston, and in addition to its close proximity to the Longwood Medical and Academic area and Harvard Medical School, is within walking distance to the Museum of Fine Art, Fenway Park, and Northeastern University. Parking is available at the BWH Patient Garage located at 45 Francis Street at rates ranging from $6 per hour to $21 per day.
