This stadium used only for greyhound racing was founded in 1928 on June 2 when was held the first race meeting and is considered one of the fastest and safest tests of the racing greyhound in the UK. Stadium is recognized, for a world record brooked by Ballyregan Bob on 9th December 1985, record set after he wins 32 consecutive races.
