Hotels near Bristol Motor Speedway, Bristol (Tennessee), United States .

The Bristol Motor Speedway (once called the Bristol International Raceway), was built in 1960 in Bristol, Tennessee. Today, it's most famous for the NASCAR races that run each August, though it also holds drag races throughout the spring and summer months. This track is known for its high banking, which encourages high speeds as stock cars fly around the circuit. As a relatively short track, spectators can expect to see cars bunched up together, and drivers have remarked that racing here is like "flying fighter jets in a gymnasium." The short track does make for lower speeds, especially compared to some of the newer, larger raceways built in the past 10 years.

With a capacity of 160,000, several hotels have sprouted up nearby to acocommodate fans on race days. These options include the Days Inn, Howard Johnson, Knights Inn, and La Quinta Inn. All are within striking distance of the race track.
