Sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name...or so the song goes from the famous television series, "Cheers." Tourists from all over the world make their way to Beacon Street with a camera and a dream to see the bar where "Cheers" happened.

The bad news is Bull & Finch Pub isn't the real "Cheers" on the inside, but that familiar exterior was, in fact, what you saw on your television set each time the show aired. For a little more history that television buffs will love, Jay Leno had a live broadcast from inside the bar on the evening of the series finale, with many of the actors in attendance and a crowd of happy Bostonians present, too.

The bar's name has officially been changed to Cheers Beacon Hill, and another location has been opened over in Faneuil Hall, where the interior more closely resembles that of the bar on television. Over on Beacon Street, tourists can expect the regular bar fare, like quesadillas and the charmingly name "eNORMous burgers" for prices that are notably cheaper than other tourist traps.

Bull & Finch Pub is open during normal restaurant and bar hours. The original location is within walking distance of a number of Boston's big tourist attractions, including the Boston Common, and various hotels. Some of the hotels nearby are The Charles Street Inn, Beacon Hill Hotel and Bistro, The Boston Park Plaza, and The Four Seasons Hotel Boston.
