Burgos Airport (ICAO: LEBG), also known as Villafria, is located 4 kilometers west of the central business district of Burgos, Spain. The airfield has a long history of government and military operations and opened its doors to commercial operations in 2002. In order to accommodate civilian traffic, a new terminal building and associated parking facilities, a multi-service building, a new runway and a new aircraft parking apron have been constructed. An urban bus line provides airport service to and from the center of Burgos. Schedules are dependent on flight arrival and departure times. The bus departs from the Plaza Espana to the airport an hour and a half before a flight’s departure. Thirty minutes after flight arrival, the bus runs from the airport to the city center. Automobile transportation is available from both Gamonal and Villafria de Burgos via the N-120 Road and the A-1 Highway. Taxi fare is approximately 10 Euros.
