Serving the city of Cagayan de Oro and its outlying communities, Lumbia Airport, which is also known as the Cagayan de Oro Airport, is the second busiest airport in the Mindanao region of the Philippines.

Located in Cagayan de Oro City, the Capital of the province of Misamis Oriental, the airport is the gateway to the vast area of Northern Mindanao famous for its many cultural and religious festivals such as the Kagay-an festival, white water rafting and river trekking, Macahambus Cave and Gorge, as well as a number of old churches and museums.

The airport is fully air-conditioned and offers clean Comfort Rooms. A snack outlet is available outside. As with most Philippine Airports, security is tight but quick. Taxis and Car hires are available which will take travelers to the city centre only about ten kilometres away.

Four local airlines have flight to and from domestic destinations. The nation’s flag carrier, Philippine Airlines offers flight to and from Manila, while Cebu Pacific has flights to and from Cebu, Davao, and Manila. PAL Express and Zest Airways also has flights to and from Cebu.
