Hotels near California State University Fullerton, Fullerton, United States .

While just celebrating its 50th anniversary a few years ago, the California State University Fullerton serves more than 37,000 full time students and offers visitors and residents of Fullerton alike a wealth of cultural opportunities. Founded in 1957, classes began two years later in facilities leased by the local high school. Today, the main campus stretches for over 236 acres and is bounded on the east by Route 57.

One of its most unique features for visitors is the Fullerton Arboretum, jointly developed and run by the city of Fullerton, which is located at the northeast corner of campus and is open daily to the public. Heritage House, built in 1894 and moved to the 26-acre preserve in 1972, is a museum that focuses on the history of Fullerton. At this same location, a visitor center includes a museum dedicated to the farming history of Orange County and the assistance of Japanese-Americans in that field. The 10,000 seat Titan Stadium is located in the Titan Sports Complex, opened in 1992. The mascot of the school is Tuffy Titan, a loveable elephant. Noon concerts are given in the Becker Amphitheater and celebrity performers in the Portola Pavilion.

Nearby lodging options include the Days Inn Hotel, the Crowne Plaza Hotel Fullerton and the Fullerton Marriott Hotel.
