The Calusa Nature Center and Planetarium is located at 3450 Ortiz Avenue in Fort Myers, Florida. Major attractions at this non-profit environmental education facility include a butterfly and bird aviary, museum, nature trails, picnic and meeting areas, a Planetarium, and a gift shop. Through special programs and events, visitors can learn about southwest Florida's natural history. Animals seen frequently on the grounds include bobcats, deer, skunk, raccoon, as well as permanently injured birds of prey, which are housed in the Audubon Aviary. Planetarium shows instruct visitors about astronomical happenings, and community outreach programs include summer camps, Girl Scout field trips, and birthday party facilities. Purchases made at the store and through Amazon online benefit the Center.

Visiting hours run from Monday through Saturday, from 9 am to 5 pm, and Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm. Admission prices range from $6 for children (ages 3-12), and $9 for adults. Admission is free to members, and children under 3.
