Located twenty five kilometers away in Al Ain on the road to Abu Dhabi, The Camel Race track holds camel racing on Thursdays and Fridays every October to March. Spectator bets are not allowed in Islam but many local and international spectators come to see the winners win valuable prizes.

An ancient sport which takes place on informal tracks in the desert, many visitors takes the opportunity to view exciting races. Some official tracks have been set aside for this purpose as well as such a large ten kilometer track on Al Ain road which regularly hosts races.

Camels most suitable for racing are the golden or the white Anafi and the black or brown Boushari breeds. Camels are trained as early as six months and are able to start officially racing at three years.

Attractions include the Ain A Fada Resort Abu Dhabi, Al Ain National Museum Abu Dhabi, Central Public Gardens Al Ain, the Al Ain Mall Abu Dhabi, Al Ain Zoo and Aquarium Abu Dhabi and the Hili Archaeological Gardens Abu Dhabi as well as Jabel Hafeet, which is a 1,340 meter mountain with great sunset views.
