The Campeche "Alberto Acuña Ongay" International Airport is located on the Campeche-ChináTel Highway nine kilometers from the city of Campeche, Mexico. Offering services between 07:00 and 19:00 hours, the airport facility houses a snack bar, café, a car rental company, and a store of local handicrafts. Incorporated into the ASA Airport Network in 1965, this small airport has just one runway, and can receive aircraft up to the size of a Boeing 727-200. Airlines with flights passing through the Campeche airport are currently Aeromexico and Aeromar. The airport offers parking space for 140 vehicles, as well as ground transportation services.

Once in Campeche be sure to head to the Malecon, a traditional seafront where locals head to buy fresh fish, and enjoy the sunset over the water, and the City Theater constructed in 1834.
