Located in the southern part of Brazil along its Atlantic coast, the small island of Campeche is an ecological reserve and protected natural area that is adjacent to the larger island of Florianopolis, a major coastal tourist attraction in Brazil. There is approximately a mile of beautiful, crystal clear blue water separating the smaller island of Campeche from the main island of Florianopolis.

Campeche Island boasts several enticing qualities that draw in the visitors by the boat load, literally. First of all, the pristine natural surroundings serve as a major attraction for people hoping to get a taste of unadulterated habitat. Secondly, there are a few hieroglyphic paintings that date back to approximately 2000 years BC. Finally, the perfect white sand beaches, the brilliant water and the lush subtropical vegetation fill out the appeal of the island of Campeche.
