The Cantor Arts Center, known in its full version as the Iris & B. Gerald Cantor Center for Visual Arts at Stanford University, is located on the campus of this outstanding institution of higher education in the California community of Palo Alto, with the principal entrance located at 328 Lomita Drive. The Cantor Arts Center was originally established in the founding year of the university, 1891, and was among the largest public museums in the nation at the time.

Over the course of the 20th century, various earthquakes and other problems saw the establishment closed on multiple opportunities. Most recently, it was renovated and reopened in 1999 with its definitive name mentioned above. Currently, the main highlight of the Cantor Arts Center is its impressive collection of 20 bronze Rodin sculptures, a slice of what is the third largest Rodin collection globally. Various other exhibits are present, some of them permanent and others temporary. The museum is open to the public free of charge, between the hours of 11am and 5pm from Mondays through Sundays and from 11am-8pm on Thursdays.
