Located along the Cape Cod National Seashore in the quaint Massachusetts community of Truro, the Cape Cod Highland Lighthouse is to be found at 27 Highland Road. The lighthouse is a popular destination for tourists in the area, and the grounds around the lighthouse are open all year round, being owned by the National Park Service. The lighthouse tower itself is only open to visitors between the months of May and October, and tours can be scheduled ahead of time.

The US Coast Guard actually operates the light itself, and the general facility is cared for by the Highland Museum and Lighthouse, Inc. The site is known as being the best and most durable lighthouse on the cape, and was originally erected in 1797 though subsequently replaced in the 1850s, which is the original date of the present structure.
