The Cape Peninsula University of Technology is a university located in Cape Town, South Africa. It is the largest school and the only University of Technology in the province of Western Cape. It is a public university established in 2005 when Cape Technikon (founded in 1920) and Peninsula Technikon (founded in 1962) merged.

Today, the Cape Peninsula University of Technology has faculties in Business, Applied Science, Education and Social Sciences, Health and Wellness Sciences, Engineering, and Informatics and Design. It also has bursaries for students taking Master’s and Doctor’s degrees. It is important to note that all foreign students are charged twice the rate that local students pay.

Internship and in-service trainings are upheld by the Cape Peninsula University of Technology with several companies approved by the university. The university does not focus solely on academics. In fact, the university is well-known for its sports facilities and teams.

The university has several campuses scattered in Bellville, Cape Town, Granger Bay, Groote Schuur, Mowbray, Tygerberg, and Wellington.
