While it will not be confused for Napa Valley anytime soon, the Captain’s Walk Winery in downtown Green Bay offers a number of quality wines, in an atmosphere that provides the tasting education that new wine drinkers seek out without the attitude sometimes associated with wine tasting. Located just a block off of the east bank of the Fox River, in a large, white Victorian House, Captain’s Walk features wines that range in price from $13 to $75 per bottle.

Captain’s Walk Winery features a Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Cabernet, Merlot, and Sangiovese varietal, amongst others, and offers tastings for just $3. Special events are held at Captain’s Walk Winery periodically, with also features a private lounge, which is available for rental, and is very popular on Sundays during with the Green Bay Packers football team plays. The entire facility can also be rented for special events. Wine Club members receive special pricing, as well as quarterly wines and access to private events.

Located at 345 South Adams Street in Green Bay, Captain’s Walk is within easy walking distance of Jackson Park, the Fox River, and Titletown Brewery. Winery hours are from Tuesday through Saturday, 11:00 A.M. until 7 P.M., and Sundays when the Packers are in town from 11 A.M. until 5 P.M.
