Cardiff central railway station is one of the busiest stations of not only Wales but also of whole UK. This station is a listed building due to its historical importance. it was commissioned in 1850 and till date many trains pass through it. The station was christened in 1973.
The station has all the modern amenities available though the food is bit expensive. There are 7 platforms and the station building is quite big. There are three ticket vending machines which are give out tickets automatically. The bus station is nearby and there is a taxi rank outside the station. The station has CCTV coverage not only inside but also in the car park and cycle storage for utmost safety.
There are huge arrival and departure screens installed in the station for the convenience of the passengers. Continuous announcement about the departure and arrivals also continues.
There are information points for the new passengers. There are waiting rooms and toilets for the passengers. It is one of the best train stations in Cardiff with all modern amenities.
