The Institute of Technology, Carlow is located at Carlow in Ireland. Also known as ITC, it was originally dubbed the Regional Technical College of Carlow when it opened in 1970.

Later in 1989 the college was renamed the Austin Waldron Regional Technical College. This became the unofficial name of the institution when the original name was back in use during the early years of 1990s. The present name of the college was accepted in the year 1998.

Presently there are three campuses of this institution. The first campus is situated on “Kilkenny Road”. This is located at the southern part of Carlow. The second campus is comparatively smaller and is situated off the “Summerhill Road”. It overlooks the Wexford Town. The last campus is situated in Rathnew in County Wicklow.

The total number of students of this institution is 4000.They offer courses primarily in technology, business and science. The seal of the institution contains all these disciplines in it.

An interesting thing about this institution is that this is a 3rd level institution that offers a course in “Development of Computer Games”. This was originally developed with Microsoft. They also have a high degree course in the Industrial Design. This subject is generally considered an American and continental European study subject.
