Carpenter's Hall

Carpenter´s Hall in historic Philadelphia was the site of the First Continental Congress in 1774 and was also home to The American Philosophical Society as well as the First and Second Banks of the United States. This beautiful example of Georgian architecture is part of Independence National Historical Park and is operated by the oldest trade guild in the U.S., the Carpenters’ Company of the city of Philadelphia.

The Hall is open daily to the public, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is closed on Mondays. In January and February the Hall is closed on Tuesdays as well.
