Located a couple of miles away from the main part of North Carolina State University's academic campus, Carter Finley Stadium has began making the transition from classic college football stadium to a more modern and contemporary athletic facility.

Wolfpack fans are a serious bunch, and season tickets to the games have been sold out for almost a decade. Due to the demand, seats were recently added to the end zone areas, and an even more extensive expansion is also planned. Currently, Carter Finley Stadium can hold around 58,000 football fans.

Built in 1966, Carter Finley Stadium has been the site of many dramatic victories for North Carolina State University. Other than college football, the stadium does not get used for many other events, except for one concert by famous rock band U2.
