The Casa Da Musica Metro station has one of the highest footfalls in a day. The station was constructed in 2002 with all the latest equipments and systems installed. It is a metro station on line A also called the Blue Line. It is one of the largest metro stations in Porto in Portugal. The neat and ultra modern station handles the ultra fast LRV trams.
The station has a unique design which displays the ingenuity of Eduardo Souto Moura. The station is built on columns and there are huge columns. The station is double leveled and the columns also act as sky lights for the stations. There are ticket validating facilities which save on the time of the passengers.
There are food stalls at the station as well as all passenger utility services. This metro station is surrounded by many eating joints and restaurants where one can find good food.
The Tiara Park and the Rosalia de Castro are the places worth visiting near the metro station. The station has an impressive entrance with a beautiful backdrop of the Casa de Musica, the most visited parish of Porto.
