The Baden casino was opened on the 12th of April 1934 in the Kurhaus as the first year-round casino, it was part of then known as Österreichische Spielbanken (today: Casinos Austria).
During the Second World War all the casinos in the area were closed. In 1968 the casino relocated to the Kongresshaus. Starting in1977 Casino Baden underwent numerous renovation phases and in March 1995 reopened as the biggest casino in Europe with the congress and event centre.
From the time of the relocation of the casino to the Kongresshaus in 1968, the Grand Casino Baden has seen the arrival of over 12 million guests. From the time of its re-opening the roulette ball has rolled 23 million times and cards have been dealt for Poker and Black Jack 20 million times.
Guests have won and taken home a total of € 275 million in prize money, € 14 million of this by just playing the Jackpot.

The Casino is open daily from 3 p.m. to 3 a.m. Jackpot Casino: daily from 1 p.m. to midnight.
