Once housed (albeit temporarily- beginning in 1995) in the Sheraton Hotel Halifax, the Casino Nova Scotia moved to its downtown Halifax waterfront facility in April of 2000. Now owned by the Great Canadian Gaming Corporation, today’s Casino houses over 750 games including Blackjack, Baccarat, Poker and Slots, and well as entertainment and dining options. Dining includes the waterfront Trapeze, and the Paradise Buffet. Performance venue the Schooner Showroom features musical performances and concerts, as does the Harbourfront- where shows are often free of charge. When arriving by car, park in the attached 550-space Casino garage. Keep in mind all guests must be at least 19 years of age or older. The Casino Nova Scotia is open from 10am-4am Sunday to Thursday, and 24 hours Fridays and Saturdays.
