Up and away in northwestern Scotland, 20,000 beautiful acres sprawl out on the Isle of Skye. Those 20,000 acres are in part made up of the Castle Gardens and Museum of the Isles.

The area still remains part of the traditional lands of the Clan Donald, whom settled here hundreds of years ago. The McDonald family would build the Armadale Castle, looking out on the 40 acres of Castle gardens. The Museum, however, is fairly recent, opening in 2002.

The Museum is made up of six galleries with 1,500 years of history and culture of the area once known as the Kingdom of Isles. Admission runs at £6 a person. Ticket prices do include access to the Castle Gardens, Museum of the Isles, and nature walks around the area.

The Castle Gardens and Museum of the Isles is conveniently open 7 days a week, usually from April until October from 9:30Am until 5:30PM.
