Situated in the center of the Canadian Rocky Mountains, Castlegar Airport (YGC) serves over 12,000 flights in and out of Castlegar, British Columbia annually. Also known as the West Kootentay Regional Airport, the Castlegar Airport is a public airport serving commercial, general, and cargo aviation from a single terminal. The single runway airport has what is considered to be one of the most challenging approaches of any commercial airport in North America due to the mountainous terrain that surrounds the runway, and is therefore in operations solely during daylight hours.

Castlegar Airport provides regular service to both the Calgary International Airport and Vancouver International Airport on Air Canada Jazz Airlines, and is able to receive international flights transporting less than 15 people. The airport is the only facility with the ability to receive commercial air traffic within a 250 kilometer radius of Castlegar.

Located at 132 Hall Road in Castlegar, about five kilometers outside of downtown, the airport does have on-site parking, available free of charge to travelers, as well as Enterprise and Budget car rental agency terminals.
