While Frankfurt was largely bombed out during World War II, rich history can still be found in the Saint Bartholomew's Cathedral. Buried deep in the medieval cloisters of the Cathedral sits a Cathedral Museum for visitors in search of a deeper history in Germany.

The Cathedral Museum opened in 1987. The cloisters that make up the museum contain collections of liturgical instruments and garments. Perhaps the most impressive of the museum's artifacts includes the tomb of a Merovingian maiden from the 7th century.

The museum is open Tuesday through Friday from 10AM until 5PM and on weekends from 11AM until 5PM.
