The Cava County Museum houses numerous collections and exhibits. With artifacts dating as far back as the Stone Age to material from well into the 20th century, the museum should not be missed for travelers wanting an in-depth view of Cavan.

Among Cavan County Museum's most notable displays, the Killycluggin stone and the Three-Faced Head all can be found here. The two artifacts boast of being the most recognizable examples of Celtic spirituality in Ireland. Other collections include displays relating to the Great Famine, Celtic football, and medieval Sheelana-Gigs.

Visitors can stop in the museum Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00AM until 5:00PM. The Cavan County Museum is also open on Sundays for a few of hours from 2:00Pm until 6:00PM.
