Centerville Depot, located at 37260 Fremont Boulevard, was built in 1909 at the height of rail travel in the U.S. Part of the Southern Pacific Railroad and a key connection between San Jose and San Francisco, the station in Fremont had its busiest days from 1910-1940.

In the 1990s, an extensive renovation and preservation project moved the depot across the street and turned it backwards in order to face the old tracks. It now serves as a stop for tourists and a reminder of the old Centerville train culture. Visitors can find a number of artifacts from the era of the railroad inside this historic depot. It is also the site of the modern Amtrak Station in Fremont.

The depot is open from Monday to Friday 5:30 am to 7 pm, Saturday 6:30 am to 5 pm and closed Sundays.
