Located near the city of Sanford just north of Orland, Florida is the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens. Priding itself not only as an entertainment venue but also as an educational one, the zoo is marked by its winding boardwalks and paths and exotic animals. Visitors can view animals such as the Puerto Rican Coqui, Amur Leopards, Asian Elephants and other species while surrounded by an abundance of wildlife.

Apart from general exhibits and displays, the zoo also hosts several annual events including Breakfast with Santa, Hippity Hop Adventure and an annual Fourth of July celebration. It hosts educational programs in which over 75,000 kids participate each year and encourages school groups to visit.

The Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission prices are $10.95 for adults with discounted prices for senior citizens, children and groups (November 2009).
