Centralia Union Depot

Originally opened in 1912 by the Northern Pacific Railway, the Centralia Union Depot Train Station located in Centralia, Washington, today lies along the Amtrak Cascades and Coast Starlight Amtrak routes. Amtrak began running service from the station in 1971. The large brick structure is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The station and ticketing booth are both open daily from 9am to 4:30pm. Centralia Washington is nearby the famous Mount St. Helens volcano, featuring a wide variety of outdoor and adventure tourism. In the surrounding area also lie Mount Rainier and Mount Adams. Area accommodations include the Olympic Club Hotel & Theater, the Kind Oscar Motel, the Motel 6 Centralia, and the Peppermill Empress Inn.
