Sarina is a small coastal town located 32 kilometres south of Mackay. Easily accessed from Mackay Airport, this is a good spot to be based if you are looking for relaxation and seclusion, away from the busy crowds. This small town is known for its thriving sugar industry. The main attraction is the Sarina Distillery. The area is surrounded by untouched hinterland, national parks and beautiful beaches. You can even see nesting turtles here in the months from November to January. There is some accommodation in the town of Sarina, and a huge range in the surrounding region.
