In the well-visited park of Elbauenpark in the city of Magdeburg in Germany is a 600-meter wooden building which is the tallest in Germany and comes second to Poland’s radio tower. The Millennium Tower stands a little bit inclined which was designed intentionally and was built in 1999 in the park. Elbauen Park which is 2 kilometers from the centre of Magdeburg, boasts that visitors can experience “365 days of nature, arts and variety of attractions”. This 90-hectare property is filled with many gardens with flowers bloom during the different seasons throughout the year. Aside from the Millennium Tower, there are sports and recreation facilities in the park. The tower has six floors with 5 floors used for exhibitions which offer interactive journey of man’s history through the different inventions. From ancient Egyptian inventions to modern breakthroughs, visitors will learn many things about the world today. The whole exhibit covers a total of 6000 years while the tower can hold up to 2,300 visitors. The park is open from April to October and closed every Mondays except during public holidays. Admission fee to the park is inclusive of entrance to the tower. The tower however is not fully equipped for disabled visitors.
