Charlois

The Charlois is a district of the Rotterdam in the Netherlands.
The Charlois is a district in the Dutch city Rotterdam. The city is located at the south bank of the Meuse River. Charlois is bordered with Stadsdell. It became part of Rotterdam in 1895 and before that it was a separate town.
The Charlois is also on the island of Ijssel monde and the port of Waal haven. Charles the Bold of Burgundy owned Charlois and was Count of Charollosis near Le Creosote.
There are several museums throughout Rotterdam. Some of these museums are the Biomass Van Beuingen, NAI, Volkenkundig, Kunsthal, and the Maritime. All of these museums are historical sites in Rotterdam.
The Erasmus Bridge was built in 1996 and is 790 meters Cable Bridge that links north and south Rotterdam. It is held up by a 138 meter tall pylon with a characteristic bend which gave the bridge its nickname De Zwaan also known as the Swan. This is a huge tourist spot in Charlois.
