The Charlotte Coliseum was a major arts and sports arena located in downtown Charlotte, North Carolina, at 100 Paul Buck Boulevard. The stadium, affectionately referred to as "The Hive" due to its peculiar shape and the incredible roar of the fans (mostly given the excellent acoustics of the building itself, which made the audience seem that much more invigorated), was home to various professional sports teams over the years, most famously the Charlotte Hornets and the Charlotte Bobcats.

The Charlotte Coliseum was demolished to make way for new development projects on June 3rd, 2007 by means of implosion.
