The Chase Home Museum of Utah Folk Arts is the only state museum of its kind in all of the United States. This Salt Lake City attraction is the permanent home of the State Folk Arts Collection, housing the work of traditional artists of the Utah community. Crafts, music and dance are represented through exhibits, concerts, recordings and photographs as a reminder of Utah’s cultural past.

The museum houses various galleries, including the Native Gallery, the Ethnic Gallery, the Occupational Gallery and the Rural Gallery. Both Native American and European history are represented, with special exhibits focusing on themes such as Westward expansion and religion.

The museum is open during Spring on weekends only from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. During Summer, the museum is open Monday through Thursday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 pm. And Friday through Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The Chase Home Museum is truly a great way to get to know Utah’s rich heritage.
