Chateau Eggenberg, also known as Schloss Eggenberg, is just west of Graz, Austria. This palace was built in baroque style between 1625 and 1656 by the architect Pietro de Pomis under orders from Duke Hans Ulrich von Eggenberg.

Built into the castle is references to the new (at the time) Gregorian calendar, including four corner towers, representing the seasons, 365 windows representing the number of days in a year, and 24 state rooms on the second floor representing the hours of the day. The layout of the buildings is in a deliberate mathematical scheme.

Today visitors can tour the palace's state rooms and view collections of coins, Roman and ancient collections, and other collections of early historical objects. The palace's park includes wild animals such as deer. The palace is open to visitors from April 30 through October 31, Tuesdays through Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
