When afternoon sets in and night falls, the Chiang Mai Night Bazaar starts to bustle with its wide assortment of wares and thousands of stalls creating a dizzying maze of a market. It is spread out on three blocks of Chan Klan road, in the heart of the city.

With its reputation as a haven for cheap shopping finds in Thailand, the Chiang Mai Night Bazaar draws in tourists from different parts of the world who marvel at the inexpensive local products on offer. One can find the best crafts and specialties of northern Thailand among the multitude of wares sold in the night market. The local crafts and antiques are housed in the Vieng Ping section. After hard bargaining, shoppers can unwind at the nearby Kalare Center for dining and a dose of traditional entertainment.

Chan Klan road is tucked between Tha Pae and Si Donchai roads. Most visitors walk to the night bazaar, but a cheap tuktuk ride only costs BHT20 for those coming from a distance.
