The Chico Amtrak Station (code CIC) is located at West 5th and Orange streets in downtown Chico and is part of the old Southern Pacific Depot, which dates back to the early 20th century. Inside the same building is the Chico Arts Center. The entire building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

Not a full service Amtrak station, there is no ticketing in the depot. Baggage service is not available, and neither is assistance of any kind. The station has no Amtrak employees on duty. Chico is a stop along the Coast Starlight route, which goes all the way down the west coast from Seattle, Washington to Los Angeles, California. Trains arrive and depart daily from Chico. The station is also the local bus terminal on Orange Street.
