Situated in the heart of Myrtle Beach, adjacent to the Hard Rock Café, the Children's Museum of South Carolina is an 8,700 square foot museum dedicated to the promotion and stimulation of self-discovery by way of interactive learning experiences. Opened in 1994 in a small retail space in a local shopping mall, the Children’s Museum has grown exponentially to meet the increasing needs of the growing resident and tourist population of Myrtle Beach.

Featured exhibits include From Here to There, demonstrating the effects of physics and gravity, Magic School Bus, Dr. Molar’s Dental Clinic, Pizza Delivery Truck, and Fossil Hunt, amongst others. The Children's Museum of South Carolina also plays host to numerous special events like the Halloween Wee Ones Boo Bash, and can be rented for birthday parties and other occasions. The Museum is within walking distance of numerous Myrtle Beach attractions, like the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, Hard Rock Café, and Broadway at the Beach.

Located at 2501 North Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach, the Children's Museum of South Carolina is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 10 A.M. until 4 P.M. On-site parking is available, and admission is $8, with children under the age of 1 admitted free of charge.
