The Castle of the Counts of Chinchon lies to the south of the town Chinchon, just south of Madrid in a picturesque area of Spain. The castle sits on the highest part of Chinchon.

It was the residence of the ruling Cabrera family and was built sometime before 1520. In 1520, the original castle was destroyed and a new castle was built from remnants of the old, between 1590 and 1598. Once again it was damaged by fire in 1808.

Today the area is considered private property, and visitors are restricted.
