Chinese Garden of Friendship is a Chinese garden situated at Darlinghurst Harbour and is near the China Town, Sydney Australia adjacent to China Town. It is modeled on private gardens of the Ming Dynasty, showcasing the Chinese heritage and culture. It is designed by Sydney’s Chinese sister city Guangzhou in China.

The Garden was officially opened in 1988 as a part of Sydney’s bicentennial celebration, and named such to symbolize the bond between China and Australia.

The Chinese Garden of Friendship has many features like the Dragon Wall, the Water Pavilion of Lotus Fragrance, the Twin Pavilion and the Tea House serving traditional Chinese tea and refreshments.

The Garden is opened 7 days a week from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. excluding Good Friday and Christmas Day. During daylight savings period, 5th of October 2008 to 4th of April, 2009, the garden is open until 5:30 p.m. Entry fees are $6 for adults, $3 for children under 15 years old, $15 for a family with 2 adults and 2 children, and $3 concession for Australian pensioners and students.

Due to its design of traditional stonework and paving, some areas are not accessible to wheelchair. Only the lower ground is fit for wheelchair and prams.
