Incorporated in 1974 when the University moved to Ilam, the Christchurch Arts Centre is open everyday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Free guided tours of the Arts Centre is held daily from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Rutherford’s Den located in the Christchurch Arts Centre’s premises is open everyday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. A weekend market showcasing local artwork, fashion, jewelry, and fresh produce is held each weekend at the Christchurch Arts Centre grounds.
