The Christchurch Convention Centre located in Christchurch, New Zealand is the country’s only purposely built convention center. It is only a 15-minute drive from the Christchurch Airport and it stands within the city’s Central Business District. It features an air bridge, which links it to the Christchurch Town Hall and to the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

The Christchurch Convention Centre was opened in 1997 by Christchurch Mayor Vicki Buck. There are seven breakout rooms in the convention center and it has the capacity to hold 2,500. A drive-in pillarless access is also present. The center is noted for having hosted several international events including the APEC small and medium Enterprise Economic Conference, the New Zealand Law Society conference, the Law ASIA conference, Shiseido Japan, and the 11th Asian Retailers Conference and Exhibition.
