Couples head there for romantic sunsets, kids and adults alike romp through the water play areas during the dog days of summer, and there's a playground for both children and for dogs. There's truly a wonderful view from here, and it's a great spot to bring a cannoli or two (or a whole box) from Hanover Street and have a picnic on a nice spring day.

Both the Orange Line and the Blue Line of the MBTA have stops right near here. Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park is open during daylight hours, and a number of hotels in the financial district and on the waterfront are just a short walk from here, including The Harborside Inn, The Boston Marriott Long Wharf, and The Millennium Bostonian Hotel.
