The Church of our Saviour in Copenhagen, Denmark, is a Dutch baroque style church laid out in the style of a Greek cross. The church is famous for its corkscrew spire and outside winding staircase of 400 steps that visitors can climb to the top for panoramic views of Copenhagen.

The church was built in 1682, but the spire was not present until 1752.

The spire's designer, Laurids de Thurah, is said to have killed himself when he realized the spire turns counterclockwise and not clockwise. No records of this suicide can be found, but the sensational story draws lots of tourists to view the church and spire.

In the church's interior is Tessin's famous altarpiece, a scene from the Garden of Gethsemane. The tower also has the largest concert carillon system in Europe with 48 bronze carillon bells and a four octave range.

The church is open to the public Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.
