Circuit Park at Zandvoort in Netherlands is a world class racetrack, known today as one of the world’s best.

Motorsports has always been a craze with people and more so in the Netherlands. In the mid 1930’s, the need for a proper race track was felt by the people of Zandvoort. This resulted in the first plans being formulated for the construction of a world-class racing facility in the city itself. Till 1930’s, races were conducted on a road track.

In August 1948, Zandvoort got its first proper race track and the first car race was held. Bike races followed and it is today one of the best facilities in the world. It now has a 4.3 Km long race track with a grandstand and lots of other facilities.

The race track has seen a lot of races including Formula 1, NASCAR, Karting championships and Super-Bike races. It is also one of the favorites of racing fans across the world. Noted British sports journalist, Nigel Roebuck has gone on to claim that Zandvoort is the best Formula 1 race track in the world.

Zandvoort is situated in a picturesque location with lots of restaurants and hotels lining the track. Fun and frolic is guaranteed on race weekends here. It now also boasts of a casino and a world-class business park for business travelers. Though currently there are no Formula 1 races taking place at this course, it is believed that the Dutch Grand Prix will soon bring Zandvoort back into the limelight.
