Zandvoort is a continously developing seaside resort in Holland nearby Amsterdam and Haarlem which attracts many tourists.Because of its sun terraces on the beach, hotels, its pubs, bars, shops and family hotels, lots of beach lovers are lured by the dunes and the beach. The acetrack, which was built in the dune area hosts cars racing on every August’s Sunday.
Zandvoort is easily accessible by car and train. A train journey from Amsterdam Central Station to Zandvoort takes only half an hour.
In March 1991 Circus Zandvoort was opened. Architect Sjoerd Soeters designed the building that today is an amusament centre in a striking way giving the city a coatraction point.
Since its beginning it has been impossible to imagine the town without the fluttering flags that guard the Circus. The five flags are the Dutch tricolour, a black-and-white one, the Zandvoort flag, a fantasy flag and once again the Dutch tricolour. A reflective glass between the flags create the ilusion to be fluttering freely.
Steping inside the Center on the left side, current shown and future films are prsented; on the right side a gift&prize shop waits for visitors.An information desk, also can help take advantage of the whole center.
For gamblers, a casino waits its 18 or over clients. Gambling is separated in „islands”. On highest one buskers demonstrate their skills.
In the foyer, everybody can get a snack, an ice-cream or have adrink. A metal staircase in the foyer takes visitors up to the cinema/theatre.
Familyland hosts over fifty games of skill and fairground attractions for everybody, whether they are young or old.
For only 17€ visitors spend the night at NH Zandvoort Hotel or Hotel Malts which is a little expensive- almost 40€.
