The Cité Radieuse (radiant city)in Marseille, France, was built between 1947-52 by Le Corbusier in the Brutalist architectural style. Built in beton brut (rough concrete), it consists of 337 apartments and 12 stories, along with shops, medical offices, and a hotel. On the flat roof is a terrace with running track and pool. Each apartment has two levels, runs from one side of the building to the other, and has a balcony.
