The City Castle on Burgplatz 4, in Weimar, Thuringia, Germany, is also called Weimar Town Castle or Stadtschloss, and was the former residence of the Grand Dukes of Sachsen-Weimar-Eisenach.

It was inscribed onto UNESCO's World Heritage Sites list in 1998.

Today, Weimar Town Castle houses the Palace Museum, featuring European art from the Middle Ages to the beginning of the 1900s. It is considered one of Germany's most beautiful museums. A famous highlight of the museum is the Lucas Cranach Gallery with works of Lucas Cranach the Elder, Albrecht Dürer and their contemporaries. The classical staterooms of the Weimar Town Castle, with the festive hall, grand staircase and the large gallery are among the most beautiful in Europe. There are also temporary exhibits on collection-related topics.

The Weimar Town Castle is open from April through October, Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and from November through March, Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
