Situated in the Gateway District of Salt Lake City, Utah, the Clark Planetarium is a main entertainment and educational attraction in the area. It has modern facilities and state-of-the-art technology that render it a wonderful experience for all.

The planetarium is the home of the Hansen Dome Theater – the first “pitless” digital dome planetarium in the United States. It is also the site of the ATK IMAX Theater, which presents daily shows featuring both 3D and 2D films. These two digital attractions are complemented by Clark Planetarium’s various free exhibits, including the Foucault Pendulum and the Earth Globe. Known just as much for its educational programs as its entertainment features, Clark is a staple of the Salt Lake City community.

Clark Planetarium opens every day at 10:30 a.m. It closes Sundays at 6:00 p.m., Monday through Wednesday at 8:00 p.m., Thursdays at 9:00 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays at 11:00 p.m. As mentioned, the exhibits are free. Prices for show tickets, however, cost $8.00 for adults with discounts for children and second shows (November 2009).
